About the Client

Paulina Borek–Trybała is a clinical dietitian and psychodietitian with 12 years of professional experience. After completing her master’s degree in dietetics at the Medical University of Gdańsk, she continued her education in a doctoral program. In 2018, she defended her PhD with distinction, focusing on treatment of malnutrition in the course of chronic kidney disease. She continually expands her clinical practice experience by working as a clinical dietitian at the University Clinical Center in Gdańsk.

From the very beginning of her professional career, Paulina has run her own practice in Gdańsk, working with patients both in person and online. Her areas of specialization include oncology and bariatric dietetics as well as kidney diseases. She also provides dietary therapy for patients with overweight and obesity, offering psychodietetic support.

Client challenges

Due to her narrow specialization, Paulina has never lacked patients. However, handling a large number of clients with serious health conditions turned out to be a real challenge. It meant creating diet plans one after another, which consumed a significant part of her day. And if a diet required modifications, making the changes again demanded considerable involvement on her part.

Over time, Paulina also began to notice a growing need for a more flexible approach to working with patients, without locking them into rigid dietary frameworks – especially when working in a psychodietetic spirit.

She often felt like she was performing the same tasks over and over again (e.g. adding new products or recipes to the database, pasting in recommendations), which led to increasing frustration and decreasing job satisfaction.

Disorganized work environment was another issue Paulina pointed out. She lacked the ability to manage patient records and the entire dietary process in one place.

Results achieved

After just a few weeks of using alloweat, Paulina regained comfort and satisfaction in her work.

The biggest impact came from:

  • being able to work with patients in a different way than through traditional meal plans (using meal suggestions as inspiration for the client instead)
  • ease of creating diet plans when she needed to do so – even very complex ones (thanks to the extensive and well-organized system databases, she was able to prepare some meal plans in under 10 minutes)
  • reducing time previously spent on repetitive tasks and focusing on what she enjoys most in working with people – conversation and education
  • improved effectiveness in working with clients (by responding to their current needs and challenges, using insights from the Monitoring module)
  • better organization of her work environment – all educational materials in one place, the ability to manage patient records directly on the platform
  • mobile app that took over some of Paulina’s routine tasks, such as sending emails with modifications or extra meals (changes are visible in the app in real time) or answering patient questions through multiple channels (thanks to the built-in chat in the app)

Client’s biggest win

Paulina emphasizes that working with alloweat gives her a sense of continuous growth. She has expanded the range of services offered in her practice and is working on online products that she plans to sell through the app.

Thanks to the use of modern technology, competitiveness of her offer has increased, which gave her the opportunity to raise her service prices.

What brings Paulina the most joy, however, are time resources she has regained and, as she puts it, constant “fun” she now experiences in her work.

In the Client’s words

I’m incredibly grateful for the day I heard about you on the “Przedsiębiorczy Dietetyk” podcast. That’s when it all started and I wouldn’t change that decision for anything. I enjoy being part of this community and being able to actively contribute to the changes in the program. I’m so confident that alloweat is a great solution that talking about it comes naturally to me and I get positive feedback from my patients, too.
